Five Dining Halls. Two awards: One trophy and one champion belt. On March 26, five dining halls - Faculty House, John Jay, JJ's Place, Chef Mike's Sub Shop, and Ferris Booth Commons - competed in an epic food showdown featuring dishes inspired by TV shows. 

We love hearing from you – our plateholders – about anything and everything dining-related! Whether you have compliments or complaints, we’re always ready to listen. After all, our program is designed by you for you and your feedback helps us be ever better.

Columbia Dining is excited to welcome the Jewish Theological Seminary (JTS) dining hall to the Flex program.

Chef Mike's series called From the Kitchen to give dining plan holders a behind-the-scenes look at our operation. In this first edition, Chef Mike explains the process of batch cooking and why it's a win-win for everyone. If you could add one dish to our menu, what would it be? We love receiving student requests and try to incorporate them into our menu wherever possible. You can even submit a specific recipe!

Flex is accepted on campus, at the University Bookstore, and at several local businesses including grocery stores, restaurants, health and drug stores. Plus, Flex can be used for delivery orders through Grubhub.

Healthy eating at JJ's just got easier! Based on student requests for healthier options at everyone's favorite late-night location, our RD Kate has created weekly build-your-own bowls at the JJ's salad bar.
